Yesterday the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Regan pulled into port. She'll be here for a year for maintenance. It was quite the sight to see. I've lived in this area all my life and I still love to watch the ships come in. She's a big one I tell ya. I was standing on the Port Orchard side of Sinclair Inlet looking toward Bremerton and as you can see by the bottom photo a telephoto wasn't really necessary.
She's a beauty, eh?

oh my gosh! That is a huge ship! It must be fascinating.. being so close to the sea. Always lovely.. mostly mild. It's a beautiful part of the country!
