I feed anyone in the backyard. Squirrels, Crows, Blue Jays, Pine Squirrels and yes, even the Goodfeathers....
They fly in in the early afternoon and finish up what the others leave behind. I don't mind, it keeps it from going to waste. I love how it sounds when they take off. Leather wings best describes it....

I know that pigeons are often considered rats with feathers, but I find them calming. Granted.. we don't get huge flocks of them around here... I'm surprised you have them in your yard Calma.

People consider squirrels rats with fur coats, too, but I still feed them. :D As long as there is food I will get squirrels and birds in the back yard. Even had a seagul land one day. Sorta freaked me out, but I've not seen one since. I think the regulars told him to get lost. ;)
