....I just can't get my holidays straight! I bought this pumpkin in November, and it's been living on my dining room table ever since. It's not moldy, mushy, decomposing, etc. at all. I'm beginning to think it's fake like those flowers that stayed alive much longer than expected! I think I'll start dressing it up for holidays, maybe stick a wig on it... :D

Oi... we carved our pumpkins after Christmas & I thought we had them a long time! But people (in the 'old days') did keep squash all winter long until the new crops came in .. so, I guess it's not so unusual. I have some butternut squash yet from last year in a basket.. I should cook that into some soup.

Great pumpkin, was it grown particularly for Halloween? we don't really celebrate it in Australia but my son got some seeds to grow the biggest pumpkin and it came out pretty similar however when we cut it up it was hollow and the flesh really wasn't good for eating
