There is a 424 acre State Game Land Reserve that is about 15 minutes from my house. It gets colorful in the Spring when the native redbud trees bloom, so I took a walk there to get some photos. BUT …. I saw these ferns unfurling and just had to post this pic instead.

Very creepy and very cool view of an opening fern. I like it yet it weirds me out like octopus legs opening to find somewhere to take hold so it can snakes along. Rather SyFyish!!!
