165/365 - Ahh! A Bat!
During one of my visits to Colorado, we went to one of those cave tour spots (within an hour or two outside of Denver, I think this one was). I don't know if I have any pictures of the cave, but I did pick up this little bat from the gift shop.
When I was a kid and my family went on these family vacation spots around the country, I always wanted to get something from the gift shops at the end, but my parents were meanies and almost never got me anything. Of course now I realize that they were absolutely correct on that for many good reasons. Still, this was the first time I had my own money to spend at one of these things (we hadn't done something like this for a good long while) and I was determined to not walk away empty-handed. Of course, most of the stuff wasn't worth getting, but I did spot this little bat that I could stick on a refrigerator. Seemed kinda neat.

When I go visit somewhere far away, I always try to bring something home that will remind me of the stay. While it may not be anything that significant to anyone else, it means something to me, like this bat for you and anyway...
ReplyDeleteIt is cute. :D

We could never get a souvenir either.
ReplyDeleteThat's why when I go places I get a gift shop item.
Cute bat, krawler.

That's such a cute little thing. My fridge is part of the kitchen units, which means I can't stick anything to it, which is probably a good thing!
