282/365 - Views of Seattle

Today we went to Seattle to get some photos for the Stop Child Abuse Campaign of Toronto Canada that our lovely Eari and her husband are doing.

The first photo is probably going to be the most recognized of them both. It is the Space Needle in Seattle from the 1962 World's Fair.

The second photo is of the Troll under the Aurora Bridge. It is actually called the Freemont Troll because it is actually in the Freemont area of Seattle. In it's left hand is an actual volkswagon beetle car buried in the cement beneath the hand. I do have other views that show it more but you still have to look very close to see that it is an actual automobile. This gives you an idea how big this troll really is. People climb all over the troll for their pictures. It is also on a street that comes directly up to it that is called Troll street.

  1. I love these pictures, Vana!
Hardly anyone outside of our area knows of our Troll. He's so cute... :D
Heard a news story a few months back that some idjuts tagged him with paint that is hard to remove. Looks like they covered the marks fairly well.

    Great shots
