30/365 A Beauty on the water

We spied this schooner in Bellingham Bay from the park we love to go to. I don't believe it is from around here and so we decided to take a picture. We have seen the Lady Washington here before she was used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

  1. She's a beauty alright.

I've been on the Lady Washington.
    She's a neat vessel.

    Love the photo, Vana.

  3. Yes that is one of the perks of living in Washington, all the rain and it keeps everything so green. Yes the sun does shine a lot too. ;)

  4. Beautiful photo, although I must say that the boat does look a bit of a wreck. But then again, I am a bit of a boat snob. :D It doesn't take away from the peacefulness and beauty of the photo, though. :)

  5. That is okay Heliona cause it did look more like a wreck when we got around to looking at her from the bow! :D But in that shot I thought she looked beautiful. Okay so I have no knowledge of boats or schooners. ;)

  7. Vana, you know it's a schooner, which is more than can be said for a lot of people, so you do have knowledge. :)

Anyway, it makes no difference to the beauty of the photo.

  8. If I could make a suggestion, I'd say that there's a lot of empty foreground in the picture and it might look better as a tighter crop, like this:
