72/365- More of the flooding in our area

This is a cool picture of some of the flooding of the fields and property in our area. I thought this photo looked cool the way the tree and shrubs reflect in the water. Actually this is someone lawn along the road but it was water all the way to the road. It looks so different now and I will have to get another picture of it so you can see it without the water. The fence in back is green with moss growing in the wood grains.

  1. That's a lawn?! Wow, you have had a lot of rain! It'll be nice to see the non-flooded photo for comparison. :)

This photo is lovely though, with all the greenery and the reflections. :)

  2. If you hadn't said what it was, I would have guessed a pond.
Nice photo. It reminds me of a picture you would see on a jigsaw puzzle. :D

  3. I will get the picture on Tuesday of the lawn minus the water. :D I will post it in the runners up section and let you know when I get it up.

Yeah our ground water is very shallow so when it rains then it takes it a while to soak in and with lots of rain it literally covers the fields and yards like ponds everywhere. Ryan says we are either at or below sea level here. :D

  4. That is a lovely picture. Does this area flood normally or is this from all the rain we have had this season, with the snow melt off?

    Beautiful
