......she didn’t disappoint, and had some minor flooding after the heavy rains. The bridge at Fiddler’s Elbow Road was closed Saturday morning when the road on the far side was under water.
Nearby, the duck who hangs out along a tributary barely escaped!!!!!
Holy Cats!! That is one washed out road. Has the creek gone back down, or starting to now?
ReplyDeleteAnd that duck looks oddly familiar to me. I think my brother has one just like it in his backyard. :P Glad the poor duckie made it through the flood.
But the photo on the bottom does show just how much that creek (seems larger than a creek to me, but what the heck do I know) did rise.

That's some serious flooding. I expected to have that kind of thing around here this year but the snow seems to be melting slowly enough and we haven't got a lot of rain so we avoided it so far. A couple of years ago, the road a half mile from my house turned into a pretty spectacular waterfall.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, a speed limit for ducks! ;)
ReplyDeleteNeat shot, Tooks!
Must be a pain in the arse to drive around in, though. Hope it has crested and is now returning to its normal depth.

Very cool flooding shots there hon!! It is amazing the power of mother nature and when the flooding happens.

I've got a question! Is that a real duck or is it a statue like duck? It looks like it has a blue colored stand up it's back side. Also what is the likelihood that the duck would be in the very same place standing the same way? Hm...... me thinks we be tricked by someone!!!! ;)
